What Playroom Gazette is and how it works
Playroom Gazette is an independent comparison and review publication covering licensed UK casino operators. We are not a casino, we don't run games, we don't accept wagers, and we have no ownership interest in any of the operators we cover.
What we do
We research and compare UK-licensed casino operators across criteria including mobile app quality, game range, live casino depth, studio coverage and overall usability. The comparison is the product — not a list of promotional links. Each operator is assessed against the same criteria, and the editorial team writes up the findings in plain language that a reader can actually use. We update assessments when material changes occur at an operator.
How we fund the site
Playroom Gazette earns revenue through affiliate referral arrangements. When a reader clicks a link on this site and subsequently registers with one of the listed operators, we receive a commission from that operator. This is standard practice in comparison publishing and it is disclosed clearly wherever affiliate links appear. The commission structure does not influence our rankings — operators do not pay for ranking positions, and the referral rate is the same regardless of which position an operator holds in our lists.
Who we are not
We are not a regulator, we do not supervise any operator, and we cannot intervene in disputes between players and operators. If you have an issue with your account or a game outcome, the right contact is the operator's customer support team, and if that fails, the UK Gambling Commission or the relevant Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. We list support contact details where available, but we are not a channel for escalating complaints.
Editorial independence
Our assessments are made by the editorial team based on publicly available information. We do not receive payment for reviews, we do not allow operators to preview or amend editorial content before publication, and we do not alter rankings in response to operator requests. If factual information about an operator changes — licence status, game range, app availability — we update the relevant content promptly.
